Archduke Charles
This very healthy China rose is one you can count on for color in the garden.  Rebloom is very good and disease resistance is excellent.  The blooms vary in size, and can be large  only when the plant is getting plenty of water.  Otherwise they're medium sized.  My plant took several years to produce some really gorgeous blooms.  The blooms start out pink with darker outer petals, but become solid crimson as they age.  It has few thorns and is fairly upright to about 5'.  Some find it fragrant.  Bred by Liffay in France sometime before 1837.
