This is another of the very fragrant older English roses. The gorgeous large blooms are a deep pink to purple crimson, and are very full of petals. The vigorous plant can send out long canes and that tendency could be put to good use on a supporting structure. I grow mine as a shrub with the canes arching over. It has pretty good rebloom, and average disease susceptibility. The commercial name of this rose can be looked up at www.helpmefind.com/roses. Bred by David Austin in 1987, rated as hardy from zone 4.
