This rose has also been called The Sweetheart Rose, and has often been used for boutonnieres. The small, beautifully formed blooms are much like miniature roses. Some classify this plant as a China. This is the spray form of Cecile Brunner which grows to about 5 1/2' tall and wide and has excellent rebloom. The blooms occur in large clusters. It is a very healthy plant with few thorns.
Bred by Ducher in 1881, rated as hardy from zone 4. It is said to be a particularly long lived plant.
