To me this is the best of the Bourbons because it is such a prolific bloomer in any sort of weather. My plant is next to the hot street where it still delights with huge flushes of blooms throughout the season. It is a large plant to about 8x8' though I keep mine about 7x7' . The deep pink to cerise blooms occur in clusters all over the well-branched plant. They are full of petals, and have a spicy sweet fragrance with peppery overtones. I often take a few blooms with me in my car since my plant is near the driveway. It is not black spot free but the leaves stay pretty attractive. It is hard to find a tougher, more rewarding plant. It is a found rose, and is hardy from zone 6.
