Also known as Jacques Cartier, this hybrid perpetual is a large growing shrub about 6x5'. The soft pink blooms have a sweet powderpuff fragrance and are quartered, often with a button eye. There is good repeat bloom. The thorns are short and bristly, and the leaves are a greyish green. It looks best and does best if deadheaded. Bred by Desprez in France in 1842, hardy from zone 5.
